Can I paint with Selder’s linseed oil paint when I’m pregnant?<\/strong>

Yes, you can. It’s very little solvent in our products. <\/p> <\/div>

Do I have to dilute the linseed oil paint from Selder?<\/strong>

No, it should never be diluted and is ready to use.<\/p> <\/div>

How do I clean my brushes after painting?<\/strong>

With Selder Strong Soft soap in concentrated form. Repeat two to three times (see video on our website).<\/p> <\/div>

Why does the surface become patchy when I paint with linseed oil paint from Selder?<\/strong>

There are various reasons for that – the three most common are;1. Primer oiling before primer painting on highly absorbent surfaces has not taken place as recommended. 2. The paint has been applied too thinly and\/or unevenly. 3. You have painted in a damp space with poor air exchange, alternatively, moisture has come on the surface before the paint has dried.<\/p> <\/div>

How long is it between strokes with Selder’s linseed oil paint?<\/strong>

24 hours in favorable conditions, ie 20 degrees and a dry space.<\/p> <\/div>

What pigments does Selder use when tinting paint?<\/strong>

We use synthetically produced iron oxides and other metal oxides, all of which have the highest value for light fastness and UV resistance. All pigments are non-toxic with the least possible impact on humans and the environment.<\/p> <\/div>

What do you do with twigs before painting with Selder’s linseed oil paints?<\/strong>

You should always shellac twigs before painting both indoors and outdoors.<\/p> <\/div>

Which window putty do you recommend when painting windows with Selders Linseed oil Paint?<\/strong>

LA Seal from Leif Arvidsson or equivalent with good adhesion to glass.<\/p> <\/div>

Can linseed oil self ignite?<\/strong>

Yes, that’s why all rags etc. should be soaked before they are thrown away.<\/p> <\/div>

Do Selder’s linseed oils have to be heated to 130 degrees?\u00a0<\/strong>

Yes, otherwise the product loses its best characteristics.<\/p> <\/div>

Which area of \u200b\u200buse does the Stone oil versus Rustproofing oil have?<\/strong>

The Stone oil is used on all stone, concrete, terracotta that is untreated to give the surface a durable and water-repellent surface layer. The Rustproofing oil is applied to iron surfaces that are rusty to stop further corrosion.<\/p> <\/div>

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR A CLASSIC SCRUBBED FLOOR WITH SELDERS FLOOR SOFT SOAP?<\/strong>

We offer a soap-treated floor and not a scrub floor as it is a completely different method. Watch our video and read on our website where all information is available.<\/p> <\/div>

Should the floor be dry or wet when soaping a floor with Selder’s floor soft soap?<\/strong>

It must be dry. If the floor is wet, the cells in the wood are already filled with moisture instead of the soap it should be filled with.<\/p> <\/div>

Can the patio be primed with Strong Soft Soap\/Floor Soft Soap?\u00a0<\/strong>

No, it is water soluble. But the patio can be washed off 1-2 times a year with a very good result.<\/p> <\/div>

Is Selder Linseed Oil food-approved?<\/strong>

Linseed oil is an all-natural product and Selder Linseed Oil is non-toxic. It is also not possible to approve linseed oil for food use. That said, Selder Linseed Oil is perfectly suitable for use on cutting boards and worktops.<\/p> <\/div> <\/div>\n\n\n\n
